Benjamin Bolival
Life Science Research Professional
Hello, I’m Benjamin. I’m from the Philippines. I earned my Master’s in Biology at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. I love working with fruit flies. I started my research career in Stanford University with the Fuller Lab which studies spermatogenesis in fruit flies. I had a short stint with the Covert Lab where I grew mycoplasma for their whole cell computational model project. I also had several stints with the O’Brien Lab where I helped build fruit fly strains instrumental for their live imaging of gut cells in Drosophila. I am currently being shared by Fuller and Goins Labs. I contribute to various projects in the Goins lab by building fly strains and plasmid constructs. Outside of the lab, I enjoy cycling and playing tennis.
